Centerville: Deul Creek

Description: Centerville Duel Creek hike is a pleasant hike up a canyon with a stream. Granite rock and small waterfalls are highlights of the trail. We will walk up the dirt road then join the trail. Park on Island view drive (850 East) and we will continue on 100 south where it turns into a dirt road. At the T, we continue straight ahead and climb on the south side on the way up. We cross the creek a few times and then at the intersection, we head back down on the north side. We will pause at Mahogany flats for a few and then finish up.

Difficulty: Easy to moderate... couple tricky spots but well worth the trip Distance: 2.2 Miles rount trip Elevation: 950 ft miles elevation Duration : probably take 1.5 hrs

Directions: Take I-15 to Centerville exit. Head east to 400 East and turn right (south). Make your way to 100 south and turn left and head east to the end of pavement. Paved road ends at Island View drive (850 East). Park along 100 south or Island View. Trail begins at dirt road on 100 south.

What to bring? water, good attitude, flashlight and camera... trail is a bit narrow in spots but older kids and dogs are welcome.

Richard, do you think I can do this one? What are tricky parts?

There is one area we go over a granite rock and another wash area that is a narrow trail. All very doable. It is a much shorter hike and gradual elevation after you get to the trail head.

Hi Richard... what do you mean by tricky spots? Just wondering if my hubby and his dodgy knees would be able to handle this hike!
