As of 10 pm Sat. 8/3 there are no spots left on this sail. Irene will be joining us.
Our sail at Chautauqua Lake is postponed because of high wind forecast so here is a chance to experience large boat sailing aboard a beautiful yacht with a handsome and generous captain. Very comfortable seating in one of the 2 cockpits and most people will get a chance to 'take the wheel'. The forecast is calling for sun with moderate to strong winds so it will be a good sail. It is cooler out on Lake Ontario in the wind - bring along a light wool sweater and a jacket just in case (also bottle of water and/or wine or beer, sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, etc. ). No sailing experience required. The sail will last 2-3 hours. Everyone will be a "newbie", except the crew.
From I-990, Left on French Rd, Right on Campbell Blvd (NY 93), Right on Ridge Rd (NY 104), Left on Coomer Rd to end, Right on NY 13. Go 1 mile, turn Left on curve onto West Main St. IF you miss Main take the next left on Jackson St, then right on Main St. At the end of Main St turn left into the last driveway and park out of the way. Take the short boardwalk past the left side of the building to the docks. The yacht will be on the left. We'll be there. Your host will be Capt. Tom Vossler. If lost call Chuck at[masked]-9590.
After the sail you may join us for a drink and/or dinner at the Olcott Yacht Club if you choose. Est. cost: $15-25 per person (cash).
