Second Thursday in September Game

The meetup gathering time is 5:30pm, which will give everyone a chance to get food, drinks and a bit of socializing in before the game starts promptly at 7pm. Only those who are there from the beginning will be eligible for prizes.

We will play six 20 minute rounds; all rules are posted in the discussion section of the Just Euchre meetup board.

There is a donation of $2 per player which covers the prizes as well as the expenses of operating the games and the meetup group. Extra money left is donated to various pet rescue charities, because we all love our "Fur Babies"!!!

Beginning players are always welcome; you just need to know the rules and how the game is played. If you are new, or haven't played in a while, We suggest creating a free account at www.pogo.com and playing online to get your comfort level up.

NO SHOW POLICY: Out of consideration and mutual respect for our members and organizers, we have a 2 time 'no show policy'. This means the member will be removed after the second time a member, or their +1 doesn't show up or doesn't cancel at least 1 day prior to the event. (In case of emergencies you need to email one of the organizers the next day)

Further, please only RSVP to events that you are actually for sure going to attend. RSVPing to “save your spot just in case” is not appropriate or considerate to the other players since we are dependent on exact number of players.
Members that are 'habitual cancelers’ in the immediate days before and day of will removed from the group.
Because our group is an active and participatory one, inactive members will be removed as well. The rational for this is again, mutual respect and consideration.

RESPECT: Respect is something central to our group of Euchre players.

My previous comments on TGI Fridays are still appropriate. Perhaps we should bring baby powder or silicone spray for the tables and munchies to tide us over when waiting for our food. Request more wait staff for our large group. Ask for coasters for all drinks so condensation from drinks does not result in wet cards. Still -- it's a convenient location and playing Euchre with our gang is better than staying home watching the boob-tube. Some of our card decks need replaced -- sticky and hard to shuffle and deal. Name tags tonight were a good idea and helped with the rapport. Seemed like everyone had a good time.

Brian, you have to give me the back decks so I can replace them!! I have no way of knowing unless you tell me! When Oliver and I first started this group, we brought our own windex and paper towels!! :(

Will do. Suggest game leader announce availability of replacement card decks for those found sticky or damaged by first person to shuffle and deal at each table.

I had a good experience with the wait staff. Ordered my food later than usual and they got it to me quickly. Asked me if I was ready for my bill so I paid before we started playing, but they still remembered me for refills. My only complaint is that the tables are terrible and hard on the cards.

I am not going to be able to come tonight. I had planned on it but had a medical procedure that took more out of me than I though. I'm sorry to let you know so late. I have no other way to contact anyone.
