Day Hike - 9 Mile Caesar's Creek Hike: From Peninsulas to Pancakes

The only thing better than burning 600 calories is adding 1,200 calories at the end of the hike! This hike is scheduled in tandem with the Pioneer Village Annual Pancake Breakfast.
The Pioneer Village is a non-profit organization that manages the magnificent collection of 18th and 19th century cabins on the southwest side of Caesar's Creek park.
Our hike will include several seasonal trails that take us into two separate peninsulas for some wonderful lake views. I define these as seasonal because these trails are often overgrown in the warmer months. If you enjoy "new" trails, this hike is for you.
We will return to the Pioneer Village to enjoy their breakfast consisting of pancakes and sausage including maple syrup cultivated from local trees. For $7, you get a great breakfast and support a great cause! They are also offering a tour of the village up until 1 PM.
We will be hiking at a minimum of a 3 mph pace to conclude our hike no later than noon. Breakfast is available from 9 AM to 2 PM for those who cannot join our hike but are interested in visiting Pioneer Village for breakfast.

Thanks for a well-led hike, Joel. It was a great day with a great group of people. The pancake breakfast in the rustic log cabin with the fireplace and music was a perfect ending. What a wonderful day!
