Morning Hike at Bill Yeck Park - 4.25 miles - Moderate Pace - 2.5 mph

Centerville-Washington Park DistrictBill Yeck Park

Come join us for a nice moderate paced easy hike at Bill Yeck Park.  This hike is just over 4 miles in length and covers the Yellow and Brown trails.  There are a couple of hills toward the end of the hike, but overall, the terrain is fairly easy to navigate.

Bill Yeck Park is a 194-acre natural area along 1.75 miles of Sugar Creek. The park is treasured by hikers, bird watchers, and nature enthusiasts and harbors many rare species of plant life, providing a home to a variety of animals in every season. Fossils from the Ordovician period can be found in Sugar Creek which flows through the park.  The park connects with other parks and wildlife areas creating a large corridor of green space that extends from St. Leonard Center to the Little Miami River. This unbroken wooded area makes the park's wildlife abundant and varied.

We hope to see you there for a GREAT hike, and as always, my hikes start on time, and leave the parking lot at one minute after the scheduled start.

That is not a park I had ever heard of before, but it was certainly interesting. Lots of wildflowers, particularly the trilliums after the first stream crossing. Stream crossings were challenging enough to be fun. Nice weather. Enjoyed the company.

Yes Stan, and there are even more trilliums at Germantown and Twin Creek blooming all this past week - entire hillsides! I suggest you look at the Bob Seibenthaler Loop near the Germantown Dam on the TVT trail....Easy parking and short walk, and AWESOME wildflowers.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
