This is being posted as a SPEED HIKE. If you are not familiar with Speed Hiking, please CLICK HERE to read the FAQ's and learn all about Speed Hiking. Basically, this is a very brisk paced hike designed for fitness purposes. This is not a stroll in the woods, if there are any breaks, they will be short. If you can not keep up at a minimum of 3 - 3.2 mph for the entire hike, then this hike is not for you.
We will begin on the ORANGE trail from the parking lot and weave our way over and back on the yellow, red, blue, pink, and orange trails to insure we hit as many hills as possible on this hike. There is a method to my madness here, and I am inviting you to join me to increase your overall fitness level by pushing yourself to walk faster, climb harder, keep moving.
This is a fun hike, however, trekking poles are recommended as there are a LOT of hills to climb on this hike, with two of them being rather steep and rocky.
This hike should last about 2.5 to 3 hours and there will be one short break in the middle at the Eby Rd. shelter. If someone wants to park a car at that shelter with a cooler in it for some cold drinks, that would be AWESOME - let me know and I will meet you there before the start at 830 am and bring the cooler!
