Englewood MetroPark - 2.5 Mile Moderate Pace Hike

Directions- On East side of Englewood Dam, take 1-way road that leads North, follow a couple of miles until you see the Patty Shelter area. You will see a bathroom, a number of parking spaces, and the main entrance of the trail. Meet at the picnic tables.

Let's enjoy the early fall scenery at Englewood MetroPark with this 2.5 mile, moderate pace hike. We will hike a loop starting out on the purple trail, follow the green trail up to  Martindale Falls, continue on the green trail, then head back on the white trail. This hike will last 60-90 minutes. Meet in the parking lot at Patty Shelter. Bring drinking water.

About Englewood MetroPark: Englewood MetroPark is a large MetroPark. The natural areas of the park contain floodplain forests, large areas of former farmland in natural succession, second growth upland hardwood forest, significant remnants of mature and old growth forest, a large shallow lake/wetland, several managed grasslands, and the scenic Stillwater River. The park also contains series of rehabilitated gravel quarry along Old Springfield Rd (North Park).
