The Sept. 22 Red Bird Hollow hike has been canceled due to a scheduling conflict. If you could also please change your meetup page for this to say it has been canceled and/or alert those who have rsvped we would appreciate it. We are grateful to all who signed up and apologize for the recent cancellation. We hope you’ll continue to visit the Ohio Nature Conservancy Meetup Group’s page to learn about future outings in your area. Briana Walsh

Briana--How do we know which time we are to hike? If the hikes are both full, does it matter if we commit to the 10 am or noon start time? I would much prefer the 10 am time.

I'll repeat Laurel's questions. At what speed are we hiking?

    September 5

    • Briana Walsh

Kathie - We will be hiking at a slow to moderate pace depending on the turnout. This event is open to the public so attendance will dictate speed. I hope this is helpful!

Would this hike be alright for an 11 year old boy? Might be interested in the Noon hike. Thanks!

The trail is 3 miles round trip and has some hills and runs along a great little creek. This is not a difficult hike but is quite beautiful. I hike it all the time. Miami Avenue ( the main Street in Madiera has a coffee shop (Coffee Please) and if you must a Starbucks down a block. Nice stores on Miami Avenue to shop in and a great Toy Shop there also. It's only three blocks long but it is a great little town and only 3 miles from the trail head.

How long is the trail and what is the level of difficulty of the hike? Also how fast will you be hiking?
