28 hikers came out for this great hike on a cold day. Temperatures were in the 20s, and hikers were quite cold until warmed up by the vigorous exercise of the hiking. There was a good bit of mud along the trails which elevated the difficulty level of the hiking. Total distance traveled was about 6 miles. This included 5 miles to the north, mostly near the bicycle path and next to the river. Then we returned to the parking lot and began a bonus 1 mile hike to the south which went around the prairie and close to I70. Hikers seemed to enjoy the comradery of winter hiking.
