MetroParks: Fundamentals of Backcountry Knots

Do you struggle with knots and knot tying? Would you like to learn some of the best knots for use in the backcountry? Then join the Outdoor Recreation Department as we take a hands-on approach to knot tying, use and know-how in this informative evening program. I had really looked forward to this class and was not (no pun intended) dissapointed! The presenters did a great job all while being quite entertaining. I appreciated learning some practical tidbits such as how to secure a tarp when there is no grommet. When is the next class?, Sign me up! Many thanks to Dan and Erik.

Excellent! The presenters were skilled and very engaging--I had fun and learned a few neat knots and some other backcountry tidbits, as well as a bit of sailor lore (which came with disclaimers as to its complete veracity but was entertaining nonetheless). I would definitely take the next level of this class if it was offered. Thank you!
