Help clear and maintain a short section of the Buckeye Trail at the Wright Brothers Memorial - Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center. This section, less than a quarter of a mile long, is over grown with honeysuckle plants, has fallen trees and grown weeds. Your help is need to maintain this section of trail for hikers. Bring a friend! Come when you can. Leave when you need to. This section of trail is on Wright Patterson Air Force Base. No trail maintenance experience needed!

Great weather, team and exercise--still feeling it 2 days later! Got great comments from a friend who hiked this stretch of the trail the next day.

My first trail fixer-upper. I didn't even know this trail was here. Think it looks great now; but that bloody weed whacker gets heavy after a while! Glad i could help.

I am looking for a volunteer to operate a gas powered weed whacker for this trail maintenance outing. It is a light commercial grade Stihl brand and is a heavier and more powerful than a home model. I will supply all equipment including face and hearing protection. Bring gloves, wear long pants and boots. We can switch off if you get tired.
November 10
David - Yes, bring a bowsaw, rake and loppers. I will have a chainsaw. There is not enough cutting for two chainsaws. See you tomorrow!
November 16
I will not be able to join you until about noon.
Will you be working west of Wright Bros Hill (towards the AF Museum) or east (towards Fairborn)?

Was today's (nov 10 @ 10:30) trail maintenance at Caesars creek canceled?
