The hike at this time of year should be considered strenuous (for some) even though the pace will be moderate (2 - 2.5 miles per hour). There will be some challenging hills and maybe footing issues. Dressing in layers for the weather, hiking poles, boots, water and snacks are highly recommended. The hike will take a minimum of 3.5 – 4 hours. We will be hiking mostly the Orange trail (http://metroparks.org/Parks/Germantown/Maps.aspx)
Meet at the Germantown Nature Center at 6910 Boomershine Road parking lot at 10:30am. The Nature Center will probably be closed and a port-a-potty will probably be available at the parking lot.
Pre-registration is highly encouraged as this site will be the only notification for hike cancellation if the weather is uncooperative.
The hikers are all great folks. As the leader, I let the hike go a little faster and with less mini breaks than I desired. I apologize to anyone that was pushed. Future hikes I lead will be a bit slower with more breaks.

Great hike Bruce. Good pace, lots of conversation. Didn't seem like that many hilly miles. And you did a tremendous job with the weather.
