Huffman Metropark - Moderate pace

Time for another hike with Mtn Laurel. We will cover about 4 miles at a moderate pace of 2.5 to 3 mph. The trail is mostly level except for the climb up the dam. We will cross the dam and head up to the Wright Brothers Memorial for a nice view.
Description of the park:
Huffman is managed for natural diversity, from the wooded meadows to the river bottom lands to some old growth forest located in the MoMBA section of the park. The habitats draw many migrating birds including many species of ducks, gulls, herons, song birds, woodpeckers, and birds of prey.
