Introduction
I love being outdoors and active. I have moved away from Dayton for many years and have been back for about 5. I would like to meet others who enjoy the outdoors and like being active and healthy.
Do you enjoy backpacking or day hiking or both?
I enjoy both - but have not done backpacking for a while. I am going to NC for Thanksgiving and my son and daughter-in-law plan on camping/hiking Mt. Mitchell
What do you enjoy most about backpacking or day hiking?
Being outdoors and enjoying the sounds, smells and sharing this with others who appreciate the same. Being physical and the serenity of the outdoors.
Where are your favorite areas for hiking in the Dayton area?
Englewood Dam, Clayton Metro Park, Daniel Boone National Forest, John Bryan, various places on the Blue Ridge Parkway
Where are your favorite areas for backpacking or hiking outside of the Dayton area?
I really enjoyed Daniel Boone National Forest and so many cool places to hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
