I'd like to join a group for hikes in the Dayton area. I also like to bike, so if that is a part of it, I'd be delighted.
Do you enjoy backpacking or day hiking or both?
I like to day hike. I like to camp, but never have carried a backpack.
What do you enjoy most about backpacking or day hiking?
Just being out in nature, enjoying the trees and the plants.
Where are your favorite areas for hiking in the Dayton area?
John Bryan State Park and Glen Helen, Hocking Hills
Where are your favorite areas for backpacking or hiking outside of the Dayton area?
Hocking Hills area, especially Conkles Hollow and the Rock House areas.
