I like to play outside and am happy to find others who also enjoy being on the trail. I'm an oddball nature lover who has an emotional attachment to rocks and trees. I never outgrew my fondness for playing in the creek and I don't mind getting dirty.
I love both. I hike weekly locally and always vacation in spots where the hiking is awesome. I haven't backpacked as much as I would like since it's tough finding companions.
I have to be outside. That's it. It's an urge that needs to be satisfied often. I like the adventure of hiking~ trying new trails, getting lost, exploring nature. I watch for wildlife, trees with character, and wildflowers. Serenity in boots.
I really like Grant Park for a quick hike. Caesars Creek is interesting geologically. Taylorsville is close to my heart because my ancestors settled there. Germantown and Twin Creek are cool for getting "lost"
Hocking Hills, Red River Gorge, Michigan, the Smoky's. For a quick bp trip, Wildcat Hollow is nice. I did spend a few nights in the Grand Canyon. I was a novice and it about killed me getting out of that big hole. I want to go back someday. :))
