I have not been backpacking yet, but I do like long day hikes.
What do you enjoy most about backpacking or day hiking?
It's a bit of adventure, peace, and exercise all wrapped up in one activity!
Where are your favorite areas for hiking in the Dayton area?
Both Glen Helen and Germantown Metropark are my local favorites.
Where are your favorite areas for backpacking or hiking outside of the Dayton area?
The Rocky Mountains - I've been fortunate to hike up a few of the peaks and the views are spectacular.
