It is a great way to meet new people and get some exercise. There are a variety of hikes for all skill levels.

Hehee--maybe the backpacking is turning back the years! That was just from this weekend, at RRG.
Laurel, Just a heads up. Over a year ago I took some hikers on horse trails at Englewood MetroPark in a deep snow. I was admonished by a MetroPark volunteer who said that hikers were not to hike on horse trails and vice versa. That horses met unexpectedly on the trail could be startled by hikers and react in a way unsafe for hikers and riders. I have not hiked on horse trails since then. You might want to check with the MetroParks or the horse stables, to see if it is okay.
Grazias Laurel you are very Nice lady
Looking forward to see you Sunday
I thought there was a good idea to get out of my pajamas and show my real self
Hey, Got your messages- will send you my check. I always have problems figuring out how to respond to emails from the group. I already have most of the gear needed for the trip. Where would I find a rock hammer and the knee straps? Thanks, Helen
Hey Mtn Laurel! I hiked Glen Helen today - 9 miles, saw all the popular sights - The Grotto, Cascades, The Pulpit Rock, The Yellow Spring, Pine Forest, Covered Bridge, South Glen and the Talus trail coming back - was a GREAT DAY, I will post my pics on FaceBook later - John Youker - send me a friend request to see the pics..... Have fun tomorrow out there, it should be as good as today! Lots of ice on the falls.
Thanks Laurel for adding me to the wait list. In the mean time see you on the many upcoming hikes and bike rides to come. Blessing to you for leading us...
Mtn Laurel, I heard that there was an issue finding a leader for the 3-mile hike; might want to check and be sure that one is still scheduled! In Joy, Jackie
Thanks for leading a nice Sunday morning hike. Looking forward to the next time I can make it to one.
