Anyone Interested in learning more about Go (golang.org)

Hey Everyone,

As a past rails developer, just wanted to post here if anyone is interested in learning more about go. Most of the developers that come to our current golang meetup are either rails developers, java developers, etc. We meet the night after DeRailed does each month. This month we have two presenters, Kyle Isom is doing a cryptography presentation, and Stephen Hagemann (piviotal labs) is doing a test framework comparison. We also have free beer and pizza :-). Here is more information if you are interested: http://www.meetup.com...

I don't look at this as a competitor or replacement to rails, but as simple a new technology that many people may find useful to be aware of and know. We currently use it to power our web site (supportlocal.com) and have been extremely happy with the results.

Future meetups will have more talks that are web related as well. We have all of our past meetups/presentations online as well at http://denvergophers..... You will find some great presentations about creating websites with go, using mongoDB with go, etc.
