.....first came the scent. It was nauseating, the reek of decay. It hung like lead in the crisp February air, weighing Edgar down as he fled the cackles screaching in his spinning head. Then came the eyes...yellowed slits peering from sewer grates, leering from the windows high above. Still he ran, his dead lungs straining to take in air as if he were still mortal. For just a second he glimpsed a beautiful women clad in PVC, bearing those same eyes. As he stopped running, transfixed and consumed with morbid curiosity, a smirk graced her sinful sumptuous lips.

And then the terror washed over him in a wave. A dozen taloned, deformed hands drug him screaming into the alley. His last image before the bursting flames of final death was a veritable army of Haunts, both refined and vile....laughing.
