As most of you know, the Cary Deaf Meetup group with multiple events that was managed by Anna is no longer in existence. I am going to try this as a second event each month, and at different restaurants in the area, to see if there is enough interest to sustain it. Hope you can come, and if not to the initial March dinner, perhaps to a future one! If you don't want to eat, just come anyway and have something to drink or a dessert. The main point is getting together and having a nice relaxing time. Children and those who learning ASL are always welcome. Hope to see you there!!!!

What kind of scene is this? Restaurant? Unlike the Coffee Shop in Downtown Raleigh? Is there enough space to avoid ASL hazard? :-D

Linden.... Thanks for setting up ASL Dine Out.... The name of the group, Deaf Coffee Chat has caused a bit of confusion for some of us. I suggest that it be removed and the name ASL Dine Out be always the name at the top. Many thanks... I hope to be there....

A great group of folks. Only wish it was a bigger room.
    •  Nice start. Hopefully next one will be the location where everyone can see one another, more of round tables... People are courageous to come and learn. I noticed genuinely people do want to learn and become fluent... Inspired me to do more by giving more. :-D

There was plenty of discussion about how Friday evenings are better for most than Saturday afternoons. It was great to see old friends and even better to make new ones. I am especially grateful to all of those who had the patience to sign slower for this newbie. Lindern keep up the good work, looking forward to the next one!
    •  I am totally overwhelmed by the fantastic turnout! What a fun wonderful evening great to see old friends and meet some new ones too! WOW!
    •  I had a good time meeting new people. It has been a long time being around with deaf and hard of hearing people. It felts good about it and I remember some signs when I watching people signs.
    •  I truly enjoyed myself. I was so glad to meet other people. The people were very friendly.
