hi! I am an advanced beginner signer and a recent transplant to North Carolina. Though I live in the Triad I am interested in meeting folks in the Triangle, and this group seems to be a great fit! Looking forward to it.

bachelor's degree years ago, moved to NC to pursue new academic and professional goals.

yep!
Do you have Deaf or signing family members?
I am deaf and use cochlear implants to hear, but I am not a native signer
Is your home TV always set to show the Closed Captions?

When did you first become aware of the existence of ASL?
I believe I was in junior high school
