Decatur Gamers

We are a group of Decatur area game players, looking to Meetup with other gamers.

We host several "official" Meetups per month (consult the Calendar). Everyone is welcome to attend these "Open Game Nights," we will have games available for you to try, or you can bring your own to share!

Most of our events are family-friendly (we'll let you know in advance if it's not!), so bring the spouse, kids, mom & dad - whomever likes to play games!

DON'T BE SHY! Even if you have no idea how to play a game we're playing, just let us know - we are happy to teach you!

We're friendly, easy to get along with, and fun! Join us!

GAMES WE PLAY! (and just a few examples)

We play traditional "classic" board games - Sorry, Life, Monopoly, Risk, Yahtzee, Scrabble, Othello, Trivial Pursuit.

We play popular board games you may not know - Blokus, Bananagrams, Pictureka, Apples to Apples, Fluxx.

We play "Euro Style" games - Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, Agricola, Puerto Rico.

We play Role Playing Games - Dungeons and Dragons, Hollow Earth Expedition, Mutants and Masterminds, Savage Worlds, Pathfinder.

We play fantasy-style games - Munchkin, Descent, Red Dragon Inn, Talisman, Killer Bunnies, Loot.

We play Miniature Wargames - Warhammer, Warhammer 40K, Warmachine, The Lord of the Rings, Flames of War, Axis and Allies.

We play Collectible Card Games - Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh.

If it's a game, we probably play it. =)

Please note that we don't try to play ALL of these games at our Meetup, we usually just form groups and play. It's easy! And if you have something you would like to share, bring it with you!
