With apologies to REM...

Let's talk about "the end of the world as we know it" - and what exactly that means. In this Meetup, we'll explore global catastrophes and speculate on what might be the next one. Each Deep Thinker should come prepared to address two specific questions: 1) In your opinion, what was the last global catastrophe to be visited upon the earth? This could be anything from the Bubonic Plague to World War II, FDR to George W. Bush, the Ice Age to the Industrial Age, etc. I'd like to get an idea of what each of you consider catastrophic. 2) What is the likelihood of the next coming catastrophe and what will it look like? Is it overpopulation, resource shortages, asteroids, clash of civilizations, nuclear war, etc.? Let's talk about what keeps you up at night when you really think about it. This should be good!

I find the leader very nice. Todd tries to keep the topic of the meeting pretty close to the original idea. I found the set up of the table not very helpful for this kind of discussion. I enjoyed.

Even though those who attended this meeting had different perspectives on what present global problem would end up being catastrophic in proportion there was a general perspective that if any social idea (national or international) did bring about a catastrophic situation, the fact that we were aware of these possibilities was important as it would help us plan ways out of them, or around them, or, or. This meeting was loaded with ideas, emotions and also laughter

When I say recording, I'm referring to the audio although video would be even better but then it will be a larger file to share.

Is it possible for someone to record the meetup and post it as a podcast on the files section?
