It is not my intention to spam, but I do feel I need to respond to what what was just said.

Politically correct refers to how much one keeps to politically Left talking points.  What makes political correctness so maddening, is the intolerance of it all.  Leftism has become a quasi-religion, in which one better adhere to its dogma or they will be subject to an endless barage of insults.  Dissension is simply unforgivable to those who are politically correct.

Conservatives, for example, are endlessly labelled as racists.  Ironically, though, it is the Leftists who are forever judging and categorizing people by the color of their skin rather than by the contet of their character.  We do not need a Black, a woman, a homosexual, or any other specific minority to occupy the White House; we need the most qualified person to lead our nation, regardless of their particular skin color, level of testosterone/estrogen, or personal sexual habits.  My Objections to Obama have nothing to do with his skin color and everything to do with his training and policies; I would be thrilled if a Black conservative such as Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams would be our President.

Another perpetual insult heaved on us conservatives, is that we are stupid and ignorant.  Even putting aside the late great William F Buckley, I can give you a long list of quite brilliant conservative thinkers whose lives and writings are worth studying.

And now I will say perhaps the most controversial statement I could possibly make, that is sure to arouse the anger of Leftists reading this, and that is, there is no book more important to read, and no book that is a straighter path to wisdom and plain old common sense, than the Old Testament and its adjecent Holy Writings.  Such books and those who follow them are the biggest enemies of all to Leftists; I now duck in anticipation of the endless derisive comments that I sure to be hurled at me.

I agree about the spamming thing (to which I am alas now adding!), but might I suggest using the message board as a way to hold these chats?

And with that, I'll dive back into my hole....

Although this is an interesting thread. (I don't believe in Jesus either, or Mithra, Thor, Zool, and all the rest) I think it is not best served by not spam emailing the whole group.....

Not everyone may find it interesting and not like the 20+ emails they are going to get. This drives people out of otherwise interesting groups.

I suggest saving this for a meetup.
