Announcing a new Meetup for Deep Thinkers!

What: With apologies to REM...

When: Saturday, March 6,[masked]:30 AM

2906 Santa Monica Blvd
Santa Monica, CA 90404

Let's talk about "the end of the world as we know it" - and what exactly that means.

In this Meetup, we'll explore global catastrophes and speculate on what might be the next one. Each Deep Thinker should come prepared to address two specific questions:
1) In your opinion, what was the last global catastrophe to be visited upon the earth? This could be anything from the Bubonic Plague to World War II, FDR to George W. Bush, the Ice Age to the Industrial Age, etc. I'd like to get an idea of what each of you consider catastrophic.

2) What is the likelihood of the next coming catastrophe and what will it look like? Is it overpopulation, resource shortages, asteroids, clash of civilizations, nuclear war, etc.? Let's talk about what keeps you up at night when you really think about it.

This should be good!
