Studio lighting and working with models.

This groups first studio lesson will be on photographing male and female models.
Each participant will have time to photograph the models. SO BRING YOUR CAMERA.

Topics I will cover will include:
Camera setting and equipment selection
Lighting for high key and low key images, accent light.
Lighting accessories, grids, snoot, beauty dishes, gels
Proper color balance for shooting to reduce post processing time.
Posing and working with models.
Having the model working with props.
(I'll have a very nice Harley Davidson, for the models and you to work with)

This is a indoor event so rain or shine it is a go!

After taking all the images, I will set up a projection system and show my workflow for post production and editing.

Date: May 17th
Time: 10:00AM to 4:30PM

A few members have asked me why this meet up cost $75.00.
The reasons being:
The models are professionals and need to be paid.
There is a fee for the studio.
The Harley owner has expenses to get to the studio.
The water and sodas have a cost to them.
And yes I do have a small fee for the teaching.

If you look at other meet ups like this you would see that the $75 is in line or less then most studio meet ups.

I order to keep the price as low as possible I am not including meals. However feel free to bring a brown-bagged lunch. Bottled water and sodas will be provided!

Once again, a wonderful Meetup! Great instruction, professional models, an all around worthwhile time. It was a comfortable atmosphere where I didn't mind making a few mistakes (and learning from them). This was the first time, for me, working with models and it was a great introduction. I look forward to the next coming Meetups.

Awesome time! Models were great, and Mike gives you plenty of time to shoot and ask questions. I came out with a lot more knowledge, then when I came in. Mike, thanks for the great advise, and a great time. Mark Sherwood

    •  Wow! This workshop was just what I needed and more! I learned a ton from the hands-on lesson but gained the most from Mike's critique of our shots. It was a great day with fun people! Thanks for everything Mike!
    •  The meet up members had a great time. The models were great to work with. I really enjoyed have the group to my studio and runnug this event. I will be doing a second one like this soon. Thanks to all that supported this event. A BIG thanks to Heidi and Althea, my studio partners, for helping me with all the prep.
