The weather for August 22 look really bad. I am changing the date of this meet up to September 13th with a rain date being October 11.
After speaking to a number of greatly experienced photographers I have decided to relocate this meet up. Rickets Glenn water fall are not flowing heavy enough to accomplish what I will be teaching and trying to cover in the meet up. Not to mention that the 2 1/2 to 3 hours is a very long drive for a one day event. Bushkill Falls can be reached in 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours. I will be holding a weekend long trip to Rickets Glenn in the future. Please let me know if sign up for the meet up and do not want to attend Bushkill Falls and I will refund your money.
This meet up is for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors and loves great locations for landscape photography.
During this meet up I will be covering the following topics:
The uses of Neutral Density filters and graduated filters and how they work and what to use them for.
Controlling the shutter speed of your camera to get the desired results you are looking for in your landscape images.
The importance of selecting the correct ISO for landscapes images
Designing a good looking landscape images using proven composition tools and skills.
The bracketing of your images for later uses with HDR software
The RECOMMENDED equipment for this meet up: but not required!
Your camera kit
Tripod (Strongly recommended)
Neutral Density filter, 2, 4, 8 (Strongly recommended, the cokin filter system or the lee filter system work great)
Large capacity memory card
Extra camera batteries
Both wide angle and telephoto lenses
Very comfortable hiking clothing and hiking shoes
Some type insect repellent
A very large and full water bottle
MONEY to pay for you entrance into the park
I am starting this meet up at 10:00 due to the location being about 1 1/2 hours from Delaware County and Philadelphia. If members are running late I will wait a 1/2 hour for them to arrive. After the 1/2 hour the members who are late will need to catch up to the group on the hiking trail.
Rain date October 11, 2009
