On Sept 21, 08, I have been asked to officially photograph a motorcycle event and ride for a children's charity. (see link)

The ride starts at the King of Prussia Mall, travels through Valley Forge park, and ends at Longwood Gardens.

I am doing this on a volunteer basis. However, I am looking for as many other volunteer photographer to help me capture the event as possible.
We will be mostly shooting as photo journalists and doing some groups and candid photos.

There will be sick children and their families at the event, and we may be asked to do simple family photos.

I have been asked to have a photographer or two along the ride route to get bikers and the kids on the bikes actually riding.

There will be all walks of life at this event, from doctors and lawyers on bikes to some "real" bikers, but all are very NICE people!
So if you are not comfortable around motorcycles, the noise, and cool things, thank you anyway.

At the end of the day, we will be downloading all of the images to the organizer's laptop. However, we can keep our images too.

Food and drinks will be provided for you.

Please let me know ASAP, so I can tell the organizer how many of us will be showing up.

    I have uploaded the route map to the files section. They are legal paper sized maps. Please download and print a copy for yourself and bring them on Thursday so we can mark them up with the assignments.

    To all volunteers. There is a volunteer meeting on Thursday evening to orgnize and train all of the volunteers for the event. During the meeting, I will take the photographers aside and distribute the location assignments. Radisson Hotel Valley Forge, 1160 First Avenue, King of Prussia PA 19406, ** Primary Training Day: Thursday September 18, 2008. 6:30pm. ** Backup/secondary Training day: Saturday September 20th, 2008. 2:00pm.     • “ What a rush! And for such a good cause! My 10 year old son absolutely loved seeing this. I was honored to be a part of it. ”
    • “ We have thousands of photographs to sift through from the event. I would like to personally thank each member who participated in the event. And a huge thanks to Mike himself for taking this on and going with the flow. Next year the event will be Sunday Sept 20th, 2009. Planning for next year officially starts in November, and the planning for the photogaphy will start sometime after March. Anyone who did not get their photographs download (sorry about the disk space) can contact either Mike or me to get us the photos. I will be sending any photos that didn't get downlaoded to the foundation in the next week. We had about 550 participants and raised over $169,500 on Sunday.
