This Sunday NOVEMBER 3rd at 5:00, join us an evening of fun, 2 hours of beef, beer and soft drinks and 4 hours of socializing and Eagles football. The cost to attend this this FUNdraiser is only $21.00 for all the fun, socializing, Eagles football, beer and food you can handle. So RSVP today and pay by the below link (it's secure) OR send in or give your money to Kimmy, Kim or Lana the hosts for this event. Space is limited to a maximum of 40 attendee's between a few groups so, you'll want to reserve your spot now. This FUNdraiser is a MULTI GROUP event. So if you belong to more than one group, PLEASE only RSVP on (1) one groups site since we must prepay for each RSVP. Since we must prepay for this evening, PLEASE remember that unless you prepay for your ticket or directly contact Kim, Kimmy or Lana so that they know that you will be bringing your payment with you the night of the event, your RSVP will be cancled Saturday morning. A bit of background on why this FUNdraiser is so very important for us to have. Phil has been a very integral part of our Meetup group for a very long time and has worked tirelessly along with the other organizers to make our group the success that it is today. So in his time of need, we wanted to help him to get back on his feet.                                                                                                       

On August 22nd Phil experienced the most catastrophic loss of his life ... a fire destroyed his business located at 201 west 4th Street in Wilmington. The loss was not just his families 105 year old business, Gross Lighting Center but his home as well, as he lived above the store. Phil is slowly being allowed to retrieve some of his personal items from the building and the demolition on his former store/apartment is also now going smoothly after the City of Wilmington released the building from the Fire Marshals office. 

He's coping ok under the circumstances. We have been really happy to see him attend some of our activities and that he has found a small affordable house to rent in Old New Castle. Unfortunately, he has not found work even after submitting many many applications. If you happen to know anyone that is hiring, please let anyone of us know the contact information for this potential job.

The demolition on his former store/apartment is now going smoothly after the City of Wilmington released the building from the Fire Marshals office. We have put together a page on a fundraising site to raise funds to get him back up and running and to help cover the mounting expenses that he has incurred by the devastating fire.     Good afternoon. If you hadn't paid by the deadline or emailed or spoke with one of the event organizers to say that they would pay at the door, we unfortunately can not accommodate you tomorrow as we already had to pay and give Timothy's our head count for this event. I REALLY don't want to sound ungrateful because everyone has been soooo supportive to myself throughout this traumatic time in my life. I also don't want to offend anyone either but (always a but) it was stated on the event page that either you need pay in advance or notify one of the chair people directly that you would pay at the door. I would prefer to have more people be able to come out, be a part of the festivities and show their support but because of the fact that we had to turn in our count and pay in advance .... we can't add any more people for this event. I'm sooo sorry that we couldn't accommodate everyone that still want's to attend tomorrows event but I hope that you understand. Thank you, Phil

      Nancy, Thank you for signing up for this event. Yes, I do believe that Timothy's has vegetarian raviolis. I will make sure that you will have some type of vegetarian meal prepared for you and anyone else that requests one. This afternoon once Lana confirms who has paid, I will be running the money down to Timothy's to pay them and at that time I will put in the special meal requests.     Good evening. I'm sending out this message to remind you that we are getting down to the wire with the FUNdraiser event that we are throwing for Phil. The final count MUST be given to Timothy's by Friday. RSVP's and payment confirmation MUST be received to us by Friday as well. Because of our having to prepay for this event, if you have not paid or contacted Lana, Kim or Kimmy to commit to your payment, your RSVP will be reversed on Friday.

    A change to this event is that we will be moving this event to the front bar area at Timothy's and will be watching football instead of Robert DJing. (he will still be attending).
