HumanLight/Winter Solstice Celebration

Come welcome winter and share with other humanists the elements of HumanLight. HumanLight presents an alternative reason to celebrate: a Humanist's vision of a good future. It is a future in which all people can identify with each other, behave with the highest moral standards, and work together toward a happy, just and peaceful world. Join us as we celebrate reason, compassion, and hope this solstice season!

Great, except that it was hard to talk to everyone at different tables! We need one big one next time!

I've seen some of the RSVPs via email. I am just re-confirming as I've previously RSVP'd via Meet up. I will be solo.

Being a humanist doesn't necessarily mean you're anti anything. You just realize that no one has all the answers nor all the power. My pets depend on me for what may seem to be "godlike" Maslow-inspired needs. Their incessant whining for wet food versus the kibble du jour - may be akin to prayer. so I do believe in the power of prayer in that when I have the power to shut whining I do. I could not live just anywhere in the world as Iwould be a heretic and probably executed for my non beliefs. So have a peaceful traditional break from the work a day world that you don't have to wear special underwear for [unless that's your thing] Merry Xmas. And to all a good night - I'm off to pay homage to my almighty pillow.
