Ahhh, Spring is in the air! A beautiful season in which to hang out with friends, enjoy the sun, eat good food and…..BASH ANIME PINATAS?!
Hello Weebs!
To celebrate the season of cherry blossoms, there will be a Spring Weeb House Party event hosted at Abel’s house!!!! This party will be an all day event (with people having PLENTY of fun activities to do) starting at 1 pm! There will be a WIDE variety of fun activities planned for this fun occasion such as:
-Potluck
-1 or 2 Karaoke rooms (depending on interest)
-Board/Video Games
-Arts/Crafts/Painting table (with a coloring book option for the Decompression Room if people want it)
-Hanging Out and Chilling in the backyard (which includes a Canopy AND a Firepit)
-Decompression Room (to recharge social batteries)
People will be able to write what they will be bringing (whether food, games, or otherwise) in the Google sheet here:

ADDITIONALLY, as the comedic intro sentence has stated, the Anime Pinata contest will make its glorious return!
The winners of the Pinata contest will be raffle based…BUT WITH A TWIST!
Before the raffle winners have a crack at their pinata of choice, THE TOP 3 VOTED POTLUCK WINNERS WILL GET FIRST DIBS ON PINATAS!!! Yup! The votes will be via attendees as well, so that would make things extra democrating (hopefully?)

THE PINATA CONTEST AND GROUP PHOTO WILL BEGIN AT 4 PM!!!!
Don’t worry, there will Definitely be more photos/videos taken throughout the day and night of the party fyi. However, 4 PM sounds like a good sweet spot to get everyone in one giant grouping for a big group photo.
===========SECOND NOTE=======
To alleviate any confusion/misunderstanding, because this event takes place in a private residence, only people well familiar with the group and/or hosts can be moved to Going from the Waitlist. Sorry about that guys! Newcomers, please Please PLEASE come to future events from the group (which usually doesn’t have this Waitlist rule because it takes place in public places and venues)!
There are BIG plans for more activity based Meetup events to be held in public places IN ADDITION TO THE MONTHLY DINNERS 🙂. These upcoming events will not only increase fun activities for both new and current members within the group, but also increase opportunities for those new members to get acclimated to the group. Who knows? If you’re a regular attendee of group events and vouched for, I’ll definitely have more Weeb house parties down the pipeline where you may eventually attend too 🙂
Example for future events in the pipeline include:
-Fun outdoor park sessions to play fun sports such as Kickball, Volleyball, Frisbee (and much MORE) or just chill and overall hang out in nice outdoor weather ☀️
-Weeb yard sales where everyone can buy, sell, and/or trade their weeb merch amongst each other, as well as anyone else in the public who want to come on by
-And much more!
==========THIRD AND MOST IMPORTANT NOTE=======
Drinking is of course ok, however there is a strict no drugs policy, including weed. THERE IS A ZERO TOLERANCE ON THIS RULE!!!!!!
Details regarding the actual location will be given as we get closer to the date.
However the current location in the Meetup page is a Sonic near the general area just so people are aware of the distance they will have to travel to Abel's house.
So let's have a fun time and celebrate Spring: Weeb style!!!!
This is also a joint Meetup event with the Anime 20’s and 30’s Meetup group, which Abel is a member of as well. I wanted to give a heads up for the attendees of our group to not feel overwhelmed by the quantity of new faces within the party. In fact, hopefully this will encourage even more fun interactions and potential friendships with even more Weebs 😀
