Bike Touring Seminar + Free Bike Fit

Bike Touring Seminar + Free Bike Fit
Tuesday, February 18, 6:00 PM
1308 E 17th Ave, Denver, CO 80218 • denverbicyclecafe.com$15.00
The essential guide for all those interested in going for an extended bike trip.  It will cover planning, equipment selection, preparing for a first tour and the lifestyle on the road.  Touring is a fun, awesome way to travel, but requires extensive planning to avoid the many possible pitfalls that come with a long time on the road.  Two experienced bicycle tourists who have done cross-country bike tours will be presenting on their experiences, answering questions, and will provide a suggested packing list.

BONUS- The first 8 people to register for this class will receive a FREE bike fit
by trained CU Physical Therapy Doctorate candidates. It's really important that your bike fits you, but even more important for longer rides like bicycle tours. Don't forget to bring your bike!

Hi, Tried to go to this tonight. No parking anywhere reasonable to walk. Let me know how the meeting went. Maybe you can find a place where there is more parking and in a safer neighborhood.

Beth, sorry to hear it didn't work out. However, parking was plentiful along Lafayette within a block of the Bicycle Cafe. Perhaps you thought it was being held at the Depot on Fairfax? In which case, agreed that the surroundings don't seem very safe at night. We'll keep that in mind for future touring seminars, which may be held there.

Just an FYI: the DBTC is announcing this seminar as a service to our members, and the event is hosted by The Bike Depot, which is charging for their seminar in order to help fund the extensive programming they offer to our community.
