Why You Should Be Using Riak In Production

Riak is an open source, distributed database created by Basho Technologies and used by companies like Comcast, GE, Rovio, and Push.io in production. It's purpose-built for operational, real-time workloads powering services that can never go down.

In this talk Seth Thomas, Technical Evangelist at Basho, will take you on a tour of Riak, highlighting why you should use it in production and what you can expect from the upcoming Riak 2.0 release.

Hey Cloudheads, I just joined your group and work for SolidFire in Boulder. I am a sales guy for SolidFire (let the dirty comments begin) and would be happy to host a meet up if the group is interested. Beer and food included of course.

SolidFire is a cutting edge SSD array with the ability to provide predictable scaleable performance (iops) to all applications on the system and is designed with the public and private cloud in mind. We have integration with OpenStack, CloudStack, OnApp, Vm Ware and so on...

Would the group be interested in a meetup to learn more? Here is a link to more info: www.solidfire.com

    Thanks,

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
