Here are a few ideas. At SIE, we have their DocNight. The program is called "Drop City." http://www.denverfilm.org/filmcenter/detail.aspx?id=25421

If it's still available, at Chez Artiste we have the documentary "56 Up." It's part of a series of films that have followed the same group since they were seven years old ("Seven Up").

I'll keep an eye out for other films.

I just learned that the documentary at SIE, Drop City, will include a post film discussion with its director, Joan Grossman, and a reception hosted by Daniel Junge, the co-director of last year's Oscar winner for short documentary. We actually saw a trailer for this film before the short documentary program.

To those who already saw this film, we also have a group going to SIE (Denver Film Center) for DocNight. The listing is also on the Denver Cinema Club site, and features the film's director ad Daniel Junge, the winner of last year's Oscar for best documentary short. It starts at 7pm. Be there before and look for me. It sounds most interesting.

I'm afraid I'm going to go see Drop City at SIE. Both the filmmaker and Daniel Junge, the co-director of last year's Oscar's Short winner, will be there. Can't pass that up. Join me if you wish.

This one's a bit mainstream, but I'd like to add "Side Effects" to the list. Curious about it. Happy voting everyone!

The Banff film festival in Denver is that night (and on Friday as well). Just a suggestion, though it may sell out in advance and so not a good option.
