I'll be riding my mountain bike to keep the pace down. We'll ride South on the trail, go under C470, and head West on the C470 trail for a mile or two. Should be about 12-13 miles round trip.
I'm going to schedule a couple more easy rides, but in a few weeks I'll step up the speed and distance to the 20 mile, intermediate, 15-17mph ride of last season.
I park in the Southeast corner of the parking lot, adjacent to the trail. We meet in the parking lot, not at Pedal bike shop.
A helmet is mandatory.
The following items are not required, but if you are going to start cycling, you should have these on your bike.
A saddle bag with:
1) Spare tube
2) Tire levers
3) Patch kit
Water bottle cage(s), a bottle of water, and a tire pump.
This is the minimum you should carry to fix a flat on the road. A patch kit will take care of most flats, but it's easier to swap the tube and repair the old one at home. If anything loosens up on your bike, say a brake lever, shifter, or cable, you'll need the multi-tool to tighten it and get you back on the road.
