35 mile, intermediate ride. Bear Creek-Platte-C470 trails. 17 mph upper limit.

We'll start in the dirt parking lot across from the Morrison/C470 Conoco, ride into Bear Creek Lake Park, climb up the trail to the golf course(stop and regroup), then ride to the Platte River Trail.  We'll turn South, and stop at Hudson Gardens for a bathroom break and to refill water bottles.  This is about mile 18. We then continue South, pass under C470, head West, and stay on the C470 trail back to the Morrison Conoco.

To keep this at an intermediate pace, I'll maintain instantaneous  speeds in the 15-16's on the flat sections of trail.  At 17.0, I'll coast, or at least reduce pressure in my pedals.

This will be a no drop ride, so we'll regroup at the top of hills. While this pace is not especially quick, I would not say this is a beginner ride.

If any advanced or faster riders want to ride the same or a similar route at a much faster pace, please say so in the comments section.  It would be great to have a choice of two rides at the same location!

Chris, thanks for organizing the ride. You're right, those hills and heart rate go hand in hand. Good pumping. thx.

It was a pleasure meeting everyone, and thanks for sticking together, it makes my job so much easier. A little chilly for the first half of the ride, but it was a beautiful day.

My apologies for declining last minute, but I'm afraid I don't have the proper equipment for the chilly temps this morning.

I'm riding there, since I live nearby. I'll be on a blue Kona CX bike.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
