Jules and I would like to invite you to the 3rd annual relaxed paced scenic ride in Boulder.
This rural ride gently rolls through North Boulder and Longmont, passing by Carter Lake.
PLEASE CHECK HERE OFTEN FOR UPDATES.
Update #1: Today, the school where we have parked in the past, has asked us to pay for parking. A change in procedures. ;-( Please bring $1 to contribute to the parking fund. We apologize for this inconvenience. We will resolve this issue before the next Boulder Roller. Thank you!
Update #2: There are no bathrooms at the start.
We will ride approximately 43 miles with around 1300 feet of climbing. The hardest climb is a couple of switchbacks to Carter Lake, an average 3% grade for about 2 miles. The rest of the route rolls along on rural back roads.
This is a NO DROP ride! We will have a designated lead and sweep rider.
We will meet at the Blue Mountain Elementary School. Be ready to ride by 9 AM.
We will start our ride at Blue Mountain Elementary school and ride to N 75th Street where we will take a right and ride north.
The road will jog several times and change names as well. Around mile 13, we turn left toward Carter Lake. We then ride up to and beside Carter Lake exiting on the North end of the lake and returning on the same roads we approached on. We expect the ride to take between 3 and 4 hours. Usually, we estimate an average of 10 MPH for our climbing routes. We think we can average between 12-14 MPH, on this ride.
Click here for Weather. The weather can be very unpredictable this time of the year, so please bring extra gear and clothing.
Since this is a rural route, our first and only refuel stop will be around mile 20. Link to refuel stop. -- Please bring enough food and water for the first 20 miles of riding.
We will be posting updates and additional information before the ride.
Please review the route before the ride.

- This route is designated as a 'Tour' ride.
Hope you can join us!
