I’m a newly minted PhD looking to start my career as an adjunct college instructor teaching business classes. The previous 20 years were spent in the clinical diagnostics and medical device industry working as a scientist, technical trainer, and product manager. My academic areas of expertise are in organizational theory and behavior with a focus on leadership, specifically servant leadership and leading members from different generational cohorts. Following the scholar-practitioner paradigm of bridging the gap between theory and practice I hope to support my students with real world insights that relate back to theoretical foundations. Adjuncts are independent contractors and I need to develop better knowledge surrounding managing my own business.
