Tax Tips for Independent Contractors (this means you)

As an entrepreneur and Independent Contractor, you probably will be getting 1099's from several of your clients. Our speaker, Larry Kopf, will talk about ways to structure the income you receive so Uncle Sam takes a smaller bite. He will discuss the tax advantages for Independent Contractors, and you'll find out about many write-offs you probably never heard of before. If you think you're paying too much in taxes, the bad news is that you probably are. Lawrence Kopf, of TaxOnly, LLC., is a Tax Specialist, a nationally recognized author and instructor of Tax Seminars to other CPAs and attorneys. He spent four years in the "Big 8," was a Tax Planning Manager for a Fortune 100 corporation and managed the tax department of a New York public accounting firm. Among his comprehensive corporate tax planning experience, he has reviewed U.S. consolidated corporate tax returns, responded to federal and state audit inquiries, played a role in intercompany transactions, mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations, and counseled domestic and foreign personnel on international tax planning. Larry was also a regular guest on the Success Radio Show (KNUS at 710 AM on the dial) hosted by Mark Crowley and is available for Speaking Engagements relating to Tax, Financial Planning, Networking, Choosing a Career Path, etc.

Directions: The Englewood Library is in the Englewood Civic Center in the area you old-timers will remember as Cinderella City. One block east of Santa Fe on Hampden is Inca. Turn north on Inca, and take the first left into the lower level of the parking structure. The library entrance is on this level. The Anderson Room is in the southwest corner of the library.
