Yes, individuals have brands, too. What’s yours?

Every day, whether you realize it or not, you are essentially displaying your own “logo.” It’s more than just your name or what you are wearing. It’s your total package, a value proposition that says I am worth knowing and worth interacting with.

So whether it’s how you speak, write, or dress; how you drive; where you use your cell phone; how promptly you return messages; how you ensure quality in your work; the respect you provide to others; the dignity you afford a stranger—the list is obviously long—your behavior and the results of the choices you make are your brand.

The concept of “Me, Inc.” is even more critical today than it was in the good old days when jobs were more secure, small businesses could get loans, and our 401(k) accounts were growing. A challenging economy provides all the more reason to care about your image and showcase your unique strengths to stand out from the crowd.

We'll enjoy some workshop exercises to make sure your brand is everything you need it to be.

About our speaker:

Susan Liehe has more than 30 years of increasingly senior communications experience with strong emphasis on the nonprofit sector and small business development.

Hats she has worn include vice president of public affairs as well as vice president of marketing . . . executive director of a foundation . . . director of public relations . . . spokesperson . . . keynote speaker/trainer . . . and director of creative services. She has both the imaginative skills to create excellence and the organizational ability to make things happen!

The most important part of the meeting is open networking from 6:30 - 7:00 pm, so make sure you show up on time to make valuable connections. The formal meeting runs from 7:00 - 8:30, with open networking again at the end. Bring plenty of business cards and be prepared to meet some new power partners!

Directions: The Englewood Library is in the Englewood Civic Center in the area you old-timers will remember as Cinderella City. One block east of Santa Fe on Hampden is Inca. Turn north on Inca, and take the first left into the lower level of the parking structure. The library entrance is on this level. The Anderson Room is in the southwest corner of the library.

Parking: Park your vehicle in the parking structure, and not on the street, so you don't have to worry about getting a parking ticket!
