Built in 1917 as a summer home and seasonal hunting lodge for Charles Boettcher, the Mansion opened to the public as a unique venue for weddings and meetings in 1975. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
It will be a self-guided tour, with a suggested $1.00 donation per person. We will meet at the entrance. They say the tour will take about 45 min to an hour, depending on how interested you are in the house. We will be given a brochure to tell us about the history and the architecture of the house. For those interested, we will do an easy 2.0 mile hike around the house after the tour.
