Central City Opera Road Trip

Grab some picnic food, your sunglasses and get out on the open road for a scenic jaunt ‘up the hill’ to Central City. This will be a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the Central City Opera House, take a special, free tour of the opera, get a backstage point of view and hear about the upcoming productions. We’ll see a rehearsal in progress and actors perfecting their scenes from either The Barber of Seville or Our Town. Pack a lunch and enjoy the sights and history of Central City. Registration required. Please register online at http://denverlibrary.org/central-city-opera-road-trip-registration-0 or call[masked]-1206.

If you are interested in carpooling, meet at Wooly Mammoth parking lot, AA at 9:30am to organize carpools.

The event is from 11a.m.-3p.m.

We will meet at the Central City Opera House Garden at 11 a.m. Ken will have a meetup sign.

This event will be a sell-out so please register asap.

Wonderful. My husband and I were amazed at how much we learned and we bought tickets to Barber of Seville as soon as we got home. Thank you so much posting this--we wouldn't have known about it.

I called Petia/Ken last night, but had no computer access. Have no idea how to pass my registration on to someone else. No way can I drive that far under these circumstances. Bummer, but whoever can use my slot have a great time.

Susan Bowles: I've emailed some help to others, so I'll do that for you. It is a rushed cut-and-paste, as I'm L8 leaving home. It is too long for a posting. I don't have time to send it individually to a lot of folks, given how awkward that is via MeetUp (but you can stay anonymous).

I will be leaving directly from Golden, if anyone wants to just meet at the Starbucks on HWY 93 in North Golden. I already have a place to park Central City and it is a 5 minute walk into town (be prepared for a little uphill and downhill). I plan on leaving Starbucks at 9:45 am and going up the canyon (HWY 6 to 119).

Hello, I'll join the car poolers at AA at 9:30.

Hi, I could carpool either by driving (small Honda) or by contributing a few dollars for someone else to drive. I live near Kipling and Hampden (285). I generally like to arrive a bit early. If anyone else wants to coordinate with me, let me know. I'll send you my phone number before the date. : )

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
