ADDITONAL NOTE: This seems to have become a very popular event. Be sure to bring own drinking container/beverage, plate, and utensils for self-serving along with potluck item. Water usually is provided. ALSO RECOMMEND BRINGING SOMETHING TO SIT ON IN CASE THE SMALL FACILILTY DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH CHAIRS. There have been other popular occasions where a number of attendees have stood. Depending upon attendance numbers, there might not be space to set up tables to assist with dining other than to hold potluck items.
Add'l directons: when you turn south onto the gravel/dirt road at Tabor/58th into Timberline G, go about 1 block and make a left at the small green building. That building is where the potluck/lecture is held. Park appropriately and safely on the grounds, including around the main Timberline G retail building. Nothing formal, no such thing as late, all easy going. Enjoy!
An Educational Potluck hosted by Waste Farmers www.wastefarmers.com and Grow Local Colorado www.growlocalcolorado.org will be November 8th at 6:00 PM at Waste Farmers www.wastefarmers.com (at Timberline Gardens 11700 W 58th Ave Arvada CO) Jessica True will share her knowledge gained from studying herbalism. People have been using plants as medicine for thousands of years. Some of the most common plants (referred to as weeds) can help keep us healthy & support our bodies' natural abilities to heal illnesses/injuries & they are usually free to harvest & easy to turn into medicine. At this event you will learn how to select & use medicinal herbs. See how infusions, decoctions, tinctures, & vinegar extracts are made & learn about some of the medicinal plants that you can grow & wild harvest in Colorado. Jessica has advanced training in permaculture design & spent two years volunteering for a multi-plot urban farm in Denver, demonstrating her passion for gardening. Love yourself with natural healing & share that knowledge with others. These potlucks are cost & waste free, so please bring your own plate, utensils, cup, etc. Please bring food to share. As we eat & learn together, we strengthen the community bonds that will be so necessary as we head into the future.

P.S. Enjoy also the amazing Timberline Gardens plant menagerie. If you have a short story to share about an herbal medicine event in your life, you might do so during Q&A. NOTE: This event is held in a small buidling at Timberline Gardens which is all about gardeners-with-hands-in-the-dirt growing plants and not about luxury accomodations or Las-Vegas-style-conventon-halls. Watch the weather and be prepared for down-to-earth-(pun intended)-gardner-style-casual and practical. Regardless, the lectures hosted in this series are invaluable to those who wish to increase their knowledge base. Potluck food is good and self-serve line can be long but worth it.
