Denver Hack Nite Message Board › Senior RoR Developer needed for DaVinci Coders "Earn as you Learn"
The DaVinci Institute is looking for a Senior RoR Developer to help students in our new apprentice "Earn as you Learn" program. This will be a part-time, project-driven arrangement. And yes, it is also a paid position.
For a little background, the DaVinci Coders (davincicoders.com) Ruby on Rails program started in June 2012, and we are currently finishing up our third class. Our summer and fall sessions had twenty-two graduates and many of them have found employment using the RoR training they received. We do not offer a placement program, but we offer our assistance in connecting graduates with employers as well as other resources for employment. We believe that adding an apprentice program will also be a key part of making them successful.
Our plan is to solicit small projects commensurate with the skills of our students and bid them accordingly. All students working under the "Earn As You Learn" program will have completed the beginner based Ruby on Rails classes and must apply to work in this program. This program is designed to give our graduates experience in "real world" projects as well as earning money on the projects.
As a project lead, you will be working directly with clients, drafting bids and proposals, and overseeing the work of the students. Flexible hours and times to work with your schedule.
