“ John made it clear that it was the type of group where one came only once, to get some ideas. Thus there really is no "group." Too little time was spent on trying to solve problems, and too much on organization. I think a different approach might be to, in the email or website invitation, describe two or three problems that the attendees are trying to solve, and ask the addendees to offer solutions. This would require that people attend more than one meeting, at least once to become acquainted, and to state their problem, and another time to receive potential solutions from the other attendees. ”
