Putting out my place for potential meet up, we could start with a short, attempt both movies or just one...I will have chips, dips and two large pizzas, more if a bunch of folks come.

Absolutely horrible movies. It was great. At Mr. B. Natural was creepy beyond belief. No wonder that generation was so warped.

"The Final Sacrifice" is probably one of the reasons people I know got into the scifi era MST3K, during the legendary 9th season, when the writing and pacing was at it's peak, and it's almost good enough to topple the other loved 9th season episode "Quest of the Delta Knights", both films are basically examples of ideas with no budget to even half-heatedly carry out the execution. They are film schools unto themselves on how to stretch a buck. Puts Lars Von Triers to shame when you think about it...
Pairing it with "Girl in Gold Boots" is deliberate because I can't think of any two more diametrically opposed films both in thematic, theatrics, acting and pacing. One film contains shots of two people against vast wilderness backdrops, the other has scenes that stretch on in seedy bars and back alleys with nigh a living plant in sight. One is earnest but silly (TFS), the other is serious but stupid (GIGB), granted you could say that about almost ANY mst3k paring but hey...I like this one.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
