One of the newest rifftrax (featuring Mike, Kevin and Bill) teamed up with one of the best Joel-era episodes (and one of only two westerns they ever did on the show) packed full of rich Roger Corman-y goodness.

So does this mean the "Wizard of Oz" is now considered a bad movie? Well, no not really, and the Rifftrax guys take time to stress that this riff is one made out of a sort of admiration for something which is still a cultural powerhouse. And yes, they joke about the "hanging midget", the "angry trees" and richly deserved frustration that Dorthy "...had the power to go home at any time." Thanks a lot Glenda. No, really.
"Gunslinger" is the last episode before "Mitchell" and so the 2nd to last Joel-era episodes, and man is it good. The amount of pure rage heaved at this ponderous boring story of a homicidal woman mistakenly handed the reigns of power (after no election and NO citizens input, I might add) who then proceeds to kill every single living creature within a 10 mile radius of her town. Should be fun, but surprisingly dull. In fact, since everyone knows who is "good" and who is "bad" within 2 minutes, one wonders why the ending "shootout" even needs the hour of film before it.
