Old School Three Mothers Trilogy and GOBLIN Concert Ticket Giveaway Night!!

With the very first Goblin US Tour just around the corner and the band celebrating their 40th anniversary, there is no better time to check out the movie score that put them
on the international map: SUSPIRIA!! And since I haven't done an Old School
movie night with less than three movies in forever, let's watch the Three
Mothers Trilogy! And on top of THAT, I have ONE PAIR of FREE TICKETS to the
Goblin concert at The Gothic Theater on Tuesday, October 15th to give away to
one lucky participant at the party. More on this below, but first let's check
out what we'll be watching:

First up is hands down one of the best horror films ever made and very possibly The Best Giallo of all time: 1977's SUSPIRIA!

File:SuspiriaItaly.jpg Suzy Banyon (Jessica Harper) is an American ballet student off to Germany to study at an acclaimed school, that also happens to be the home of a coven of powerful witches...

Next up is INFERNO:

File:InfernoPoster.jpg

1980's INFERNO really kicks into gear the "Three Mothers" concept when New York poet Rose Elliot (Irene Miracle) discovers the book called... "The Three Mothers" and then
promptly disappears leaving her brother Mark (Leigh McClosky) having to come home from Rome to find the truth about her vanishing.

After almost 30 years, Dario Argento finally completely the trilogy with 2007's THE MOTHER OF TEARS.

The film focuses on art student Sarah Mandy (Asia Argento, Dario's real-life daughter) who discovers a cloak, a dagger and three statues hidden within an ancient urn which throws
her into a confrontation with evil itself.

To win the pair of concert tickets, you must first attend the screening of all three movies (you can't come late or leave early). After MOTHER OF TEARS ends, there will be a
drawing for the tickets between the people who have survived the Three Mothers
Trilogy.

I'll have snacks and drinks available. If you would like to bring some to share please do but do not feel obligated. If you can not make the party, PLEASE CHANGE YOUR RSVP ASAP. Since so few people can attend the party I'd like to have it completely filled
to give as many people as possible the chance to win the tickets.

See you in October!

Thank you everyone who made last night so wonderful. I had a fantastic time and loved getting to hang with Krista again! The music video night at Alamo was one I'll never forget, mostly due to Dawn actually getting me up to dance! :D

I am excited to see the best horror film ever made, the best Italian WTF movie ever made, and the best 80s Pat Benatar video ever made. However, I have two questions:

Is there parking, or will I be streetin' it?

What is your address Jeff? :)

I will bring some candy corn. There better not be any "NO SHOWS" to this meetup since there is a wait-list- fair warning to change your rsvp if your plans have changed.

  • Rick

Poop, just missed the cut. Oh well, I'll hang on the wait. :)
