Howdy Denver horror films, here is a heads up about a small indie horror film "THE DIVIDE" that you may want to check out.

The Divide new from Anchor Bay Film is playing at the Esquire this weekend at 590 Downing St., Denver, CO 80218. What follows is a brief synopsis, my quick review, then my in-depth review. If you want to discuss the movie here after you've seen it use the comments section I'd love to discuss it. Be sure to put "spoiler" alerts in your comments if applicable.

Brief Synopsis: After a fireball engulfs their city a group of people who made it to their buildings basement try to survive the elements, outside intruders, and EACH OTHER.

Quick review: This grueling character study is a smart horrific film that slowly builds to a violent climax and a moving epilogue. There are now traditional "scares" but more of an emotional impact that will stay with you after you leave the theater- and will spark some debates within your friends who saw it with you. Recommended.
